When the first AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open teed off in 2015, few would have predicted how far it would travel. Ten editions later, it is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, plays for a purse of US$1.5 million and ranks among the largest tournaments linked to the African continent.

Nine editions, nine champions

No player has won it twice yet, and four of the nine titles were settled in a playoff.

  • 2015 George Coetzee, 271 (-13), playoff
  • 2016 Jeunghun Wang, 282 (-6)
  • 2017 Dylan Frittelli, 268 (-16), playoff
  • 2018 Kurt Kitayama, 268 (-20)
  • 2019 Rasmus Højgaard, 269 (-19), playoff
  • 2022 Antoine Rozner, 269 (-19), by five strokes, still the tournament record
  • 2023 Louis Oosthuizen, 271 (-17)
  • 2024 John Parry, 274 (-14)
  • 2025 Jayden Schaper, 266 (-22), playoff

A launchpad for careers

The tournament has a habit of finding talent early. Every one of its champions has gone on to shine on the DP World Tour or the PGA TOUR, and the 2026 field already includes the next names on that path.

Back at Mont Choisy

From 10 to 13 December 2026, the 10th edition returns to Mont Choisy Le Golf, the estate's third time as host venue. We will tell the story of the build-up here, week by week, until the final putt drops.
